Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
1) to stammer
2) to repeat the same things over and over, to use many idle words.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
STOP WITH THE IDLE CHATTER! G…od already knows what you need!
If you know who you are, your approach toward God and praying will be DIFFERENT than how religion has probably influenced you.
REMEMBER you are not trying to meet some religious criteria! Seeing if you can build up enough “faith credits” to get what your asking! NO! NO! NO!
Romans 8:17 (KJV) 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs (one who obtains something assigned to himself with others, a joint participant) with Christ;
Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, (EVIL- Comes from the Greek word “ponaros” which translates (full of labours, annoyances, hardships)
SO READ IT LIKE THIS
Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being full of labours, annoyances, and hardships know how to give good gifts unto your children, HOW MUCH MORE shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
YOU ARE AN HEIR WITH GOD AND A JOINT PARTICIPANT WITH CHRIST!
PRAYER IS THE ANSWER! I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE PROCESS OF PRAYER—I’M SAYING PRAYER IS THE VEHICLE THAT TRANSFERS WHAT WE HAVE AS JOINT PARTICIPANTS WITH CHRIST TO US, HIS BODY, HERE ON EARTH!
HOW CAN WE EVER EXPECT TO DO “GREATER” WORKS THAN JESUS DID UNTIL WE KNOW WE ARE JOINT PARTICIPANTS WITH HIM!
